It is very painful and I still think about them even though many years have passed.

the michael brown tragedy has garnered a lot of attention in the media recently highlighted.
by the recent county court decision to not indict the lone officer who did the shooting which caused the death of micheal brown.. .. now after more information of the event has been released openly to the public, we can evaluate upon are self.
in are own opinion toward was the law handed out in this particular event proportionately fair or to a professional standard ?.
This situation was nothing like the four men who sat at the woolworths lunch couner because of an injustice this was a belligerent criminal being aggressive and he shouldn't be made into a hero.
Calling CoCo the grammar man
heard this researcher on dr. radio, and wanted to share the story.
science keeps blowing away the pre-biblical notion of adam and eve.. skeeter.
the dna from the 45,000-year-old bone of a man from siberia is helping to pinpoint when modern humans and neanderthals first interbred, researchers say.. although modern humans are the only surviving human lineage, others once lived on earth.
The mysterious history of our origin continues as the new discoveries pour in and denial of the findings to hang on to some biblical interpretation is ridiculous.
i just found this out last night.
(preface: this is a husband and wife that i have come to be friends with after leaving the borg, they are christians).
we were sitting around visiting last night and having a good time when my friend starts in on illegal immigration and politics and starts throwing out his hate speech which eventually turns to homosexuals.
I wonder what George the stegasaurus would have to say about that.
you know, rarely in the history of the org has a group this large congregated to hear from "mother.
" they incessantly speak of the huge group that met at yankee stadium in 1958...the over 250,000 that congregated to be instructed by jehovah.
but over the weekend, there were over 1,000,000 people excited to hear some type of direction, some type of encouragement, something to help them hang on "just a little longer.".
Oh what a picture in my mind it's armageddon and you were in a hurry that day so you threw on some spanx and all your socks were dirty except the red ones. So you rush out the door and the sky fills with insane angels you remember the old pictures of people wearing headbands getting slaughtered and you're glad they went out of style. Suddenly you look down at your bright red socks and you rip them off along with the spanx tag on the back of your pants and you hope the angels are too dumb to notice you're little manuver. Good thing the gb gave you that snack at the proper time.
at the corporate meeting david splane discusses the use and misuse of types/antitypes.. the main qualifier of a type is that an account must be represented in the scriptures as a. type of some future event.. he quoted schroeder who said if an account isnt explained in the scriptures as a type than you.
shouldnt use the event as a type.. splane summed up his talk by saying if the bible is silent - we must be silent.. but they go right on celebrating the 100 years from 1914 which was determined by improperly.
going beyond anything written in the bible about nebuchadnezzars tree dream.. the bible specifically refers to the immense tree as representing nebuchadnezzar.. daniel explained it and that should be the end of the matter.. .
"We never said anything about 1914 having to do with armageddon the rank and file were just running ahead in their hopes for a quick and speedy end to the pangs of this wicked world"
"We are innocent and pure and have always done the right thing we are faithful and discreet"
i don't think so
hi all, especially the scholars amongst you ;)a .
i was listening to richard dawkin's talk at lynchburg va and he was tlaking about how horrible the god of the old testament was- and he mentioned this: .
that when jeptha's daughter came out (and jeptha had promised god he'd sacrifice the first thing out of his house) that he had to sacrifice her as a burnt offering.
Remember that Abraham was told to sacrifice his son and he knew exactly what that meant. He prepared an altar and grabbed the weapon then when the big "J" stopped him an animal was promptly slaughtered so what do you think happend to that young woman.
feeling low today.
i haven't posted for a long time (forgotten log in details = new username) i'm in a good place with my family now and have built a life outside the religion.. today i found out a good friend has gone back and got himself reinstated to be able to have contact with his elderly mother.
that is the only reason apparently.
Each person has an inner voice that drives their "conscience" and I'm taking this out of the realm of religion and placing it around everything we thnk, do or say. Some people can live each day in an ambiguous place and sleep at night and others well they can't do that. When my voice inside screams "this isn't right" it won't let me ignore it no matter what the consequences and I will burn every bridge behind me. I don't know why but i can't rest until I'm in that straighforward place. Yes there is a trail of rubble behind me and what I'm saying is people do whatever their "conscience" for lack of a better word let's them do. You really can't put yourself in their shoes and it's easy to say they should be like me but they're not.
sweet dreams
